The Sanneh Foundation is a Minnesota based not-for-profit corporation established in June of 2003 by World-Class Soccer Player, Tony Sanneh. The Sanneh Foundation, headquartered in St. Paul, spearheads our nonprofit, nonpartisan, community-based movement. Our desire at the Foundation is to support community-based organizations nationwide, and to assemble a supportive network within communities that provide positive environments for urban youth to become positive and productive adults. In addition, the Foundation is committed to support and prepare urban youth, access to the economic, educational, political and social mainstream.
The Sanneh Foundation salutes and supports established community-based organizations that are working to improve the quality of life in urban communities. Due to government cutbacks in funding for urban programs, it's vital for private sector, new and existing foundations, churches and concerned individuals to step in and fill the void. The cycle in urban communities of desperation and poverty calls for our continued vigilance in overcoming the hopelessness that can destabilize a community.

After 15 years of elite professional playing experience, Tony Sanneh wanted to share his knowledge and experiences with kids from his native state of Minnesota as well from across the region. Thus, Sanneh Soccer Camps began in 2009.
Since its' inception, the camps have grown to reach an international audience extending as far as the U.S. Virgin Islands. While playing professionally, Tony established the only camp in the Midwest designed and implemented by a player with experience competing in the World Cup, Major League Soccer and the prestigious UEFA Champions League. The goal of the camp has always been to provide an environment where players of all levels can come together to learn about the game and improve their soccer skills. The camp atmosphere is such that players from all communities can be united through their excitement for the sport while making working on the game as fun as it is rewarding. Tony has assembled a staff of local and national coaches to teach soccer based on the experiences and methods that Sanneh, himself, has accumulated throughout his extensive career at the highest levels of the sport. The same ideology is used to adapt the training to individual camper's ability and ambition. The camp aims to provide a fun and fulfilling atmosphere for all campers while focusing on appropriate levels of skill and intensity for individual campers.
Lastly, Sanneh Soccer Camp understands the importance of shaping the development of young men and women beyond the field and actively works to incorporate guidance and information about health, education, drugs and alcohol, and cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Tony Sanneh has had a distinguished professional soccer career at both the professional and international levels for nearly 15 years. Tony has played at the highest levels of the sport against some of the best players and clubs in the world including Brazil, Argentina, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Barcelona, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea. A USSF licensed coach, he has worked under legendary U.S. coaches Bruce Arena and Bob Bradley, as well as Buzz Lagos, Boro Sucevic, Klaus Augenthaler, Jurgen Rober, and Dave Sarachan.
